KARACHI, Feb 8: Gujranwala romped to an emphatic two-day victory against Rest of Sindh in the Quaid Trophy Grade-I fixture at Lahore Country Club Ground in Muridke Friday.

According to details available here, left-arm medium-pacer returned match figures of 10 for 57 while his new ball partner Mubashir Nazir claimed nine for 101.

Needing 113 for their third win of the season, Gujranwala raced to 116 for two in 32 overs with all-rounder Abdul Rehman hitting 58 off 83 balls, including seven fours. Rehman and opener Ehtesham Younis (46 off 93 balls, seven fours) added 112 for the unbroken third wicket stand.

Earlier, left-arm paceman Ali Raza captured seven for 52 as Gujranwala added 32 to their overnight 89 for seven.

Sindh mustered 177 in their second innings. Shahid Qambrani, forced to retired hurt when he had made 41, compiled 51 off 55 balls with eight boundaries.
