Four killed in two accidents in Bela and Kalat

KHUZDAR: Four people were killed and over a dozen others injured in accidents in Bela and Kalat, officials said on Saturday.

Three people were killed and more than 12 others injured when a passenger coach travelling from Quetta to Karachi overturned near the Baincha area of Kalat district.

Kalat police said that a Karachi-bound passenger coach travelling from Quetta overturned due to overspeed in Kalat. “Three passengers were killed on the spot, while 11 others were injured,” police officials said.

Soon after receiving information, police rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to the Kalat hospital. The deceased were identified as Samiullah, Muhammad Asim, and Wali Dad.

In a hit-and-run accident, a motorcyclist was killed at Kathor Mor on the main National Highway near the Bela area of Lasbela district. He was identified as Kareem Bakhsh, while Elahi Bakhsh, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries.
