LAHORE: Over 200 people on Thursday filed complaints with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against different housing societies for not delivering plots/homes despite receiving amounts.
NAB Lahore Director retired General Mirza Faran Baig presided over the monthly open court at the bureau’s headquarters and listened to the complaints of the affectees.
“A total of 235 complainants attended the session, mostly were victims of fraudulent and illegal housing schemes. A majority of complaints pertained to projects of Al-Noor Orchard, Al Jalil Garden, Omega Residencia, Pak-Arab Housing Scheme, Khayaban-e-Amin, Future Vision, Palm Vista, Unique Solar, Anabia Grand Mall, For U Real, New Lahore City and Al Rehman Garden Phase-IV,” a NAB spokesperson said.
During the proceedings, the DG along with senior officers listened to the grievances and issued immediate instructions to the officials concerned for swift action on all cases. He reaffirmed NAB’s firm commitment to safeguard the rights of affected individuals and ensure justice. Mirza Faran Baig emphasized that stringent legal action would be taken against those found involved in defrauding the public.
