KARACHI, June 26: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that a censure motion would be brought against opposition members in the Sindh Assembly for not maintaining sanctity, dignity and decorum of the house and showing defiance to Speaker’s ruling.

“We will bring motion as per law,” he said while addressing a press conference in his chamber in the assembly building after the house approved supplementary budget-2005-06.

He said that the treasury and opposition benches had agreed before the session that commencement of proceedings at 9:45am would be ensured but none of the opposition members had turned up by that time although the treasury members had taken their seats at 9:30am.

He pointed out that the opposition had moved 500 cut motions but no one from the movers was present in the house to take up the same. Therefore, he added, the supplementary budget stood approved when presented before the house.—APP
