KARACHI, June 24: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement coordination committee has rejected Jamaat-i-Islami’s peace conference and whitepaper as mala fide propaganda.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the committee called upon the JI to restore law and order in the NWFP and Balochistan where it was in power and where killings, terrorism and lawlessness was on the rise.

It pointed out that a war-like situation prevailed in North and South Waziristan where terrorists were attacking military and security forces personnel.

It alleged that the issuance of the JI whitepaper was an attempt to cover up misdeeds of the MMA government in the NWFP and Balochistan.
