QUETTA: The Balochistan government has appointed Babar Khan Yousafzai as an aide in the Home Department to promote the state narrative and ensure effective communication.

According to an official notification, the appointment has been made with the approval of Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, following which the chief secretary issued formal orders.

The notification said Mr Yousafzai will be responsible for promoting the “state narrative”, ensuring effective communication, and facilitating coordination on related matters. His role is expected to help present the government’s stance in a more organised, effective, and modern manner. He had earlier worked as the spokesperson for the Balochistan government.

In his response, Mr Yousafzai expressed gratitude to the chief minister for reposing trust in him and said he would utilise all his abilities to meet expectations. He added that he was determined to fulfil his responsibilities in line with national interests. He also reaffirmed his commitment to defending Pakistan and its armed forces at every forum.
