Green bus service launched for Turbat

QUETTA: The Balochistan government launched the Green Bus Service in Turbat on Sunday. Turbat has now become the second city in Balochistan where this bus service has been launched.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the bus service, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said the Green Bus Service is a gift for the people of Turbat.

He said that initially four buses will run in Turbat town for 18.4 kilometres, carrying 4,500 messengers daily with 18 bus stops.

The chief minister said the provincial government would now launch another bus service which is Pink Bus Service exclusively meant for women and it will be launched in Turbat next year.

“It will be a gift for the women of Turbat whom we want to provide maximum travel facilities,” Mr Bugti said.

Senior minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, finance minister Shoaib Nosherwani, minister for revenue Asim Kurd, parliamentary secretary Mir Asghar Rind and several provincial government officials attended the bus launching ceremony.
