CAIRO: According to reports reaching Cairo, French planes bombed the Moroccan towns of Talda and Keser to suppress an anti-French revolt which broke out today [March 2]. …

A country-wide rebellion was also reported to have broken out against the pro-French tribal chief Ollawi Pasha. French inhabitants were co-operating with French troops to put down the rebellion, these reports said. According to a New York message the Committee for Freedom of North Africa said today it received word of a battle between French colonial troops and Arab Nationalists in French Morocco today. — News agencies
