MARDAN, Feb 8: The basic purpose of education is to create harmony and guide new generation as to how to live a successful life, an educationist Qazi Aslam said.

He was speaking on the inauguration of Islamabad Model School in Mardan.

“Every one interprets education in his own way, but nobody is sure what it really means; especially the common man doesn’t know upon which root he should direct his children”, he said.

Quoting Quaid-i-Azam, he said life was too short to experience, therefore it was better to take advantage of the experiences of others.

But, unfortunately, we always adopted new methods which were some times already tested, he added.—NNI
