Live-action Scooby-Doo series to start filming in April

Netflix’s first live-action Scooby-Doo series is set to begin filming this April. The story follows Shaggy, Daphne, Velma and Freddy as they investigate a haunting mystery during their final summer at camp, involving a lost Great Dane puppy linked to a supernatural crime.

The titular Scooby-Doo will be brought to life using CGI, wherein he’ll be fully animated with computer-generated effects so he can talk, move and interact with the live-action actors seamlessly. A separate Scooby-Doo anime is also in production, offering another animated take on the classic franchise.

The Beatles biopic cast revealed

Fans of The Beatles are in for a cinematic treat as Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan and Joseph Quinn take on the legendary Fab Four in the upcoming The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

The project aims to chronicle the band’s rise, creative genius and cultural impact, offering a deep dive into the lives behind the music.

Mescal stars as Paul McCartney, the multi-instrumentalist and co-lead vocalist, while Dickinson portrays John Lennon, the band’s iconic guitarist and songwriter. Barry Keoghan takes on Ringo Starr, who joined the band in 1962, and Joseph Quinn plays George Harrison, the lead guitarist known for his spiritual and musical explorations. Audiences can expect a blend of biographical storytelling, musical performances and behind-the-scenes glimpses at the band’s formative years, promising a definitive big-screen Beatles experience.

Fast & Furious finale coming in March 2028

Vin Diesel revealed that the final Fast & Furious film, Fast Forever, will hit theatres on March 17, 2028. Louis Leterrier (Fast X, The Transporter) is returning to direct, with a script by Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel.

While the full cast hasn’t been announced, longtime stars, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson are expected to return. The late Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Conner may also appear. Plot details remain under wraps, but the story will pick up after the cliffhanger ending of Fast X.
