GUJRAT: A man suspected of raping two minor brothers at their home lost his genital organ after his pistol went off in his trousers while attempting to flee in the People’s Colony area of Gujranwala, police claimed on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Gujranwala police said the suspect had raped the two boys who were real brothers, aging eight and 10 years, by breaking into their house some days back.

The police had registered a case against the suspect. When police raided to arrest him, he attempted to flee. While fleeing, his pistol went off and its bullet his genital organ.

Police arrested the suspect in injured condition and also recovered the pistol and four rounds from him.

In another incident, the Gujranwala police claimed that a rape suspect who was in custody had been killed by the firing of his own accomplices in the precincts of Baghbanpura police.

A spokesman for Gujranwala police said the deceased had been involved in at least 26 cases of kidnapping and raping of minor girls, theft and other heinous crimes.

He added the suspect had kidnapped and raped an 11-year-old girl when she was on the way to her school in Baghbanpura locality on Feb 17. Police booked and arrested him. He was in custody on physical remand when attempted to flee with the alleged help of his accomplices. He was gunned down by his own accomplices, according to the police.

A case was registered against the armed accomplices of the deceased.
