QUETTA: Tan Jin, president of Metallurgical Corporation of China’s Resources Development Company (MRDL), has said the company achieved major milestones at the Saindak project in 2025 through scientific planning and organised execution, setting historic records in production and operations while strengthening its safety systems.

He was speaking at a Chinese New Year and Spring Festival ceremony held at Saindak under the auspices of MRDL.

Tan Jin said Amoeba management and 5S quality standardisation were actively promoted, alongside focused efforts on cost reduction, site improvement and corporate image building. Despite a challenging security environment, he noted, the company’s operational performance reached new heights and the Pakistan-China partnership grew even stronger.

For the first time in Pakistan’s mining sector, he added, the company secured laboratory accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, calling it a reflection of MRDL’s quality standards and professional capability.

Declaring 2026 a year of new goals and responsibilities, Tan Jin said MRDL would open a new chapter of growth through innovation, higher standards and improved performance. He also emphasised the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
