QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to place four major public hospitals under semi-autonomous boards as part of governance reforms introduced under the Balochistan Health Institutions Reform Act.
According to a notification issued by the Health Department, the four hospitals — Civil Hospital Quetta, Bolan Medical Complex, Turbat Teaching Hospital and Loralai Teaching Hospital — will be managed by newly constituted boards. The provincial secretary for health will serve as chairman of these boards.
