KHUZDAR: Five people, including a local journalist, were killed in two separate road accidents in Winder and Khuzdar district, police said on Monday.

Aziz Lasi, general secretary of the Lasbela Press Club, was killed late on Sunday night when three vehicles collided on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Winder. Mr Lasi was travelling to Hub when the accident occurred and died at the scene, police said.

His body was shifted to a hospital and later handed over to his family. He was buried on Monday afternoon.

Separately, four people, including two brothers, were killed when a passenger bus coming from Karachi hit their car in the Darakhala area of Wadh. “All four persons lost their lives on the spot,” a police official said.

Police shifted the bodies to the district hospital. The victims were identified as Bashir Ahmed, Habibullah, Ghulam Mustafa and Manzoor Ahmed.
