QUETTA: The Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, Bilal Khan Kakar, met UAE Consul General Dr Bakheet Ateeq Al Rumaithi at the UAE Consulate in Karachi to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and identifying new investment prospects.
The meeting reviewed plans for proposed investment conferences in Karachi and Abu Dhabi, progress on the 100-kilometre Rhode Grass Project in Balochistan and expanded collaboration in halal meat exports and the livestock sector.
Discussions also covered the establishment of a used oil recycling plant in Hub, facilitation of company registration in UAE and joint shrimp farming initiatives.
Mr Kakar thanked the UAE government for its continued support of development projects in Balochistan, describing the UAE as a trusted partner of Pakistan, particularly of Balochistan.
He said growing interest of UAE leadership and investors in agriculture, livestock, energy, and environmental protection reflects strong potential for deeper cooperation. Dr Al Rumaithi expressed keen interest in investment opportunities in Balochistan and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to further expanding economic collaboration.
