LAKKI MARWAT: A police constable was martyred after abduction by terrorists here on Tuesday night, the police said on Wednesday.

District police spokesperson Qudratullah confirmed the incident, saying that the martyred constable had been undergoing training at Hangu Training School.

“On Tuesday night, terrorists abducted him from his house in Nasrkhel area and took him to a forest called Darga and shot him dead there,” he said.

The terrorists also torched the house of the martyred policeman before escaping the place. The funeral prayers of the constable were offered with official honour at the police lines in the District Headquarters Complex, Tajazai.

Police and district administration officials, including district police officer Nazir Khan, Superintendent of Police, investigations, Murad Khan, additional deputy commissioner Habibullah Wazir, and others attended the funeral prayers.
