LAKKI MARWAT: Police destroyed terrorists’ camps and seized explosives, bombs and motorcycles during an operation in the forests known as Darga, located along Kurrum River in Lakki Marwat district on Sunday.

A police official said that Regional Police Officer, Bannu, Sajjad Khan and DPO Nazir Khan jointly supervised the operation, which was simultaneously conducted in Darga forests and border areas with Bannu district.

“During the operation, the law enforcers destroyed the camps of terrorist commanders, including Tauseef and Imran,” he claimed, saying that the camps were being used by terrorists as safe havens and to store explosives, arms and ammunition, make improvised explosive devices and plan subversive activities.

He said that police also demolished several hideouts the terrorists had established in the dense forests.
