SP Naveed Cheema is heading the probe.

According to details, Head Constable Safdar Ali was performing duty at Qadirabad point, Sargodha Road, when he stopped a motorcyclist for not wearing a helmet and issued him a ticket of Rs2,000. He impounded the motorcycle until payment of the fine.

The motorcyclist went away and returned after an hour with a young woman, holding a child in her lap. She slapped Safdar but senior wardens and citizens caught her. The official let the biker go with the motorcycle without paying the fine.
