An official press release of the commission said on Monday that a door-to-door campaign would be started from the second week of July 2006 to prepare the official list.

If they have not get their computerised NICs, they have been advised to contact Nadra for the purpose. Without CNIC, no entry could be made in the computerized electoral rolls.

The chief election commissioner has directed the Nadra authorities to expedite issuance of CNICs to the people who have attained 18 years of age and applied for the card.
