ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) ChairmanMohammad Ali Randhawa, along with former CDA chairmanKamran Lashari on Saturday visited Islamabad’s first Organic Community Market managed by Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI) at F-7/3 Park and inspected various stalls.

Relevant officers briefed the two dignitaries about the Organic Community Market, apprising them that stalls offering various items have been set up in the community market and stalls featuring natural, chemical-free, fresh and healthy food items and products are a focal point for citizens.

During the briefing, CDA Chairmanwas briefed that special activities for children and families have also been arranged at the organic community market, making it a beautiful blend of recreation and health.

It was briefed that the various stalls include fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade bakery items, delicacies prepared by artisans, and high-quality cheese, among other natural goods and these natural products are receiving an enthusiastic response from citizens.

During the briefing, it was informed that familiesentry to the market is free. Similarly, under the management of MCI this organic community market is organised for citizens every weekend. The briefing further said that the Organic Community Market remains open for families every weekend from 11:30am to 4:30pm.

Former CDA ChairmanKamran Lashari said on the occasion that the Organic Community Market was an excellent initiative for the provision of healthy and quality products.

CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhwa directed the organisers of the market to ensure that the market does not affect the park’s healthy environment, well planned layout, and the ‘Zero Littering Policy.’

On this occasion, CO MCI Dr. Anam Fatima appealed to citizens to pay special attention to keeping the park clean, ans said that the initiative was part of effort to promote parks as shared community spaces.
