DERA GHAZI KHAN: Three people were killed in a collision between a bus, a rickshaw and a motorcycle near Sangam Chowk in Dera Ghazi Khan city on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122, two people were trapped under a Dera-bound bus coming from Karachi. The rescuers used combi-tools and pneumatic lifters to rescue the trapped victims. However, the motorcyclists could not be saved, while a rickshaw driver was also found dead at the scene.

The three bodies were shifted to the Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital. The deceased were identified as Haji Muhammad Nawaz (55), Allah Dewaya (19) and Ibrahim (17).

CASE REGISTERED: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has registered a case against unidentified terrorists for blowing up the building of a girls primary school in Basti Jooter of Koh-i-Suleman tehsil of Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to the FIR, unidentified terrorists blew up the building of the school, which was closed due to winter vacations. It said an improvised explosive device (IED) was also discovered and subsequently neutralised.

The device was found concealed within a washroom and caused partial damage to the surrounding structure.
