LAHORE: A cash prize ceremony will be held at the National Hockey Stadium on Dec 24 for the athletes from Punjab who have won medals at the 35th National Games 2025.

The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) had announced cash prizes from Rs500,000 to Rs200,000 for the gold, silver and bronze medal winners, respectively, before the start of the games, which concluded in Karachi last week.

Punjab’s contingent returned with a tally of 16 gold, 38 silver and 72 bronze medals at the games.

The decision to hold the function in honour of the winning athletes was taken at a meeting held here under the chairmanship of Punjab Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar. The meeting hailed the performances of all the athletes, officials, SBP Director General Khizar Afzal and recently transferred sports Secretary Muzaffar Khan Sial.
