Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 received glowing feedback from its first test screening, with early viewers calling it “another heartfelt chapter” in the franchise. Written and directed by Andrew Stanton, the sequel releases on June 19, 2026.

The story follows Jessie, who now leads Bonnie’s toys as they face a new threat — a frog-like tablet named Lilypad. The conflict brings Woody back into action, while malfunctioning Buzz Lightyears stuck in “play mode” add comic chaos.

Pixar’s Pete Docter said the film explores “unexpected moments and fresh storytelling choices.” Featuring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and Anna Faris as Lilypad, Toy Story 5 tackles modern themes while keeping its emotional core.

Robin is set to return in DC’s Absolute Universe during the next Absolute Batman arc. Writers Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta confirmed the character’s reappearance, but haven’t revealed which version of Robin will take the spotlight.

The upcoming issues also reintroduce Poison Ivy and Scarecrow, with Snyder describing this new Scarecrow as “a human figure who uses fear to challenge power rather than a monster.” Both storylines signal DC’s push to refresh Batman’s world with bold new ideas while respecting its cinematic and comic legacy. Absolute Batman, Absolute Flash and Absolute Superman are now available on DC Universe Infinite and in print.

Nickelodeon has released the first artwork for Avatar: Seven Havens during the 20th anniversary panel of Avatar: The Last Airbender at San Diego Comic-Con.

Set after The Legend of Korra, the series follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who learns she’s the next Avatar in a fractured world. Branded a destroyer rather than a saviour, she must journey with her twin and mentor to uncover the truth about her destiny.

Created by Avatar co-creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the series will span 26 episodes across two seasons. A release date has not yet been announced.
