KARACHI: Police hospitals

KARACHI, May 27: A meeting of the Board of Governors of Sindh Police Hospital was held with Home Minister Rauf Siddiqi in the chair on Saturday.

The minister said that the government was making all possible efforts for providing better medical and treatment facilities in police hospitals. He said that philanthropic people were extending full cooperation in the provision of modern medical equipment and medicines besides improving the condition of hospitals.

The meeting was attended by Home Secretary Brig (Rtd) Ghulam Mohammed Mohtaram, Acting IG and CCPO Karachi Niaz Ahmed Siddiqi, Special Home Secretary Rasheed Alam, DIG Headquarters Saud Mirza, DIG Operation Hyderabad Mazhar Shaikh, Vice-Chancellor Dow Medical University Prof Masood Hameed Khan, noted industrialists S.M. Farooq, Yasin Mallik, Tariq Rafi, Tauqeer Tariq and others.—APP
