SAHIWAL: Six girls, including four students, were reportedly kidnapped in separate incidents in two days.

The abductions are said to be linked to ongoing family rivalries and internal disputes.

Reports said Marriam Bibi (18) and Ashmal (10) were abducted from outside the gates of MC Girls High School by Shoaib Aslam, Aneela Aslam, and two unidentified individuals. Their father, Muhammad Adnan, informed the Chichawatni city police that the suspects had offered to drop the girls home after school but instead took them away in a car.

In another incident, Rabia (19) was alone at her residence at village 188/9-HL when she was kidnapped by Shahid and two unknown accomplices on Friday evening. The suspects also stole Rs50,000 in cash from the house.

Harappa police have registered a case on the complaint of Noor Ahmed.

Anees Fatima (17) was abducted from Sharif Colony by Irfan, Nouman, and Naseem. Ghala Mandi police registered a case on the complaint of her brother, Kashif Ali. Sajida Parveen (24) was kidnapped just before her wedding at village 58/GD by Nadeem, Muhammad Ali, and Sikander.

Bahadar Shah police registered a case following a complaint lodged by her widowed mother, Noorain Bibi.

Sania Amaan (19) was abducted from village 93/12-L by Shabbir, Adnan, and Arsalan Shabbir. Shah Kot police registered a case based on a complaint filed by her father, Muhammad Asghar.

In all five cases, police have registered FIRs under Section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code and initiated investigations. However, no arrests have been made so far.
