CTD officer shot dead in Pishin

QUETTA: Some unknown armed motorcyclists shot dead an officer of the Counter Terrorism Department in Pishin Town, officials said on Friday.

They said that the incident took place late Thursday night when CTD sub-inspector Inayat Ullah was going home.

“Armed attackers targeted the officer at Bacha Khan Chowk in the main Pishin town,” senior police officer Raiz Ullah said, adding that after the shooting, the armed men escaped.

Police rushed to the area after receiving information and took the body of the CTD officer to a local hospital.

Police have registered a case against unknown armed men and further investigation is underway.
