KARACHI, May 20: Founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain on Saturday called for initiating a dialogue on resolving the rapidly deteriorating situation in Balochistan.

In a statement, issued by the party’s international secretariat in London, Mr Hussain emphasised that instead of using force to deal with the situation in Balochistan, it was imperative to open a dialogue and remove concerns and apprehensions

of Baloch people by giving Balochistan and other provinces their rights and complete autonomy.

He said the use of force would only complicate things and increase misgivings and alienation. He was of the view that because of the ongoing operation there, people of Balochistan were feeling insecure and the province was becoming restive.
