Five districts get new DPOs

LAHORE: The Punjab government has appointed five new district police officers (DPOs) and reshuffled dozens of other officers.

A female officer, Ammara Shirazi, is also among them and she has been posted as the head of Khushab district police.

According to a notification issued by the inspector general of police Punjab, Counter Terrorism Department SSP retired Capt Tariq Wilayat was transferred and posted as DG Khan DPO vice Syed Ali who was directed to report to the Central Police Office (CPO).

Punjab CTD SSP (Intelligence) Rana Umar Farooq was transferred and posted as the Gujrat DPO against an existing vacancy; Punjab Traffic Police Headquarters SSP Syed Ghazanfar Shah was transferred and posted as Muzaffargarh DPO vice Dr Rizwan Ahmad Khan who was transferred and posted as the assistant inspector general (development) at the CPO; Gujranwala CTD SSP Fraz Ahmad was transferred and posted as Nankana Sahib DPO vice Nadeem Abbas who was transferred and posted as Punjab traffic police SSP headquarters; Faisalabad Operations SSP Ammara Shirazi was transferred and posted as Khushab DPO vice Tauqir Naeem who was transferred and posted as CTD Punjab SSP (intelligence); Multan Chief Traffic Officer Sardar Mavarhan was transferred and posted as Attock DPO vice Sardar Ghias Gul Khan who was transferred and posted as Rawalpindi Regional Investigation Branch SSP. Lahore Police Training College SP Bushra Jamil was transferred and posted as Faisalabad Operations SSP.

Similarly, the IG police also issued transfer and posting orders of 19 other police officers including SPs.
