LAHORE: Pakistan defeated the United States 3-1 in their FIVB U-19 World Volleyball Championship match in Tashkent on Saturday.

According to news release issued by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Pakistan comfortably won the match 25-14, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Pakistan scored 97 points in the match, which included 66 from attacking game, 10 from blocking, five points from serves and 16 from opponent team’s errors.

Mohammad Yahya (22 points) and Mohammad Saud (15) remained Pakistan’s key performers in the match.

With this win, Pakistan move on to compete for the 13th position in the event, marking a strong presence in their debut appearance at the championship featuring teams from 24 countries.The next and final match for Pakistan at the event will be held on Sunday.
