KARACHI: The second KC Jinko Solar Open National Tennis Championship continued on Sunday with competitive qualifying matches across categories.

In men’s qualifying first round, Rayan Ahmed secured a victory over Siraj Shahzad 6-2. Advancing to round two, M. Essa Jee dominated his match against Fawad 6-0. Nadir Bachani defeated Haziq Areejo 6-2, while Parbat Kumar overcame Shariq Rameez 6-3. Muzammil Bhand bested Shahmir Usman 6-3 and Ismail Aftab claimed victory against Farooq Ali 6-2.

Meanwhile, in Junior competition, Samir Kabeer progressed in the boys’ U-18 qualifying after defeating Yahya Bin Zain 6-2.

In the U-14 qualifying second round, Qazi Ahyan Babar delivered a strong performance to beat M. Arbi 6-0. Faaz Asad earned a 6-1 win against Ayan Salman and Hassan Farhan advanced by defeating M. Ahmed Ishrat 6-2.
