KARACHI: Chalti Tasveerain, the first short film showcase featuring a line-up of films by emerging and established voices from Pakistan and the diaspora, was held here.

The evening opened with a panel discussion — The Art of Luna — moderated by Kinza Ghanchi, where the team from LunaCanvas Studios discussed their animated short film.

This was followed by the main showcase with featured filmmakers Ali Sohail Jaura, Ayla Khan, Nuzhat Kazmi, Sabika Noor Ali and Namrah Sikander.

Highlight from the event included an exclusive screening of last year’s Cannes Grand Prix winner All We Imagine As Light, followed by an audience Q&A with the film’s director, Payal Kapadia, moderated by Joyland director Saim Sadiq. Founded in late 2024 by Sameer Haseeb Khan and Saif Quraishi, Chalti Tasveerain is a Karachi-based film initiative dedicated to showcasing bold, independent cinema from Pakistan and around the world.
