SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A local contractor was killed in a gun attack in the Dabbkot area of Wana tehsil, Lower South Waziristan district on Sunday, the police said.

The shooting of Ehsanullah Khowjalkhel sparked panic in the area, as a large number of residents gathered at the scene shortly after the incident.

According to initial reports, Ehsanullah was targeted while he was present in the area as part of his daily routine.

Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, cordoned off the area, and began collecting forensic evidence. The body was later shifted to a nearby hospital for legal and medical procedures.

Sources suggest the incident may have stemmed from a personal enmity, though no official confirmation has been provided regarding the identity of those responsible.
