LARKANA: There has been no let-up for Larkana people in the nuisance of stray dogs as no fewer than 15 dogbite cases were reported at one hospital on Friday alone.

The victims brought to the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) included women, besides young children and youths. Some of them were Mohammad Bakhsh, 7, Fizza, 8, Pervaiz Ali, 10, Abdul Rauf, 12, Fayyaz, 15, and Fazal Abbas, 18.

All the 15 victims – coming from different areas of Larkana city and its outskirts – were administered anti-rabies vaccines in the hospital’s emergency ward.

Other necessary medical treatment was also provided to them before they were discharged.

Their families, speaking to local journalists, said the Larkana mayor and deputy commissioner should immediately launch a dog culling campaign to save people from this life threatening nuisance.
