TAXILA: A beheaded body of a teenage girl was found from fields in Hussainabad area in the limits of Wah Saddar police station on of Saturday, police sources said.

The sources said that the 16-year-old girl identified as Zahida Jabeen contracted marriage against the will of her parents and shifted to Faisalabad with her husband some three months ago.

However, she had recently returned to her parents’ home a few days ago following a dispute with her husband. The police investigators believed that it is suspected that she was brutally murdered by her family members and her body was thrown in the fields.

Later, police rushed shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Taxila for autopsy. Police investigators believed that it was a case of honor killing.

Separately, two teenage girls went missing under mysterious circumstances from Khurrum Paracha village in the limits of Taxila police station on Saturday. Junaid Ali has reported to police that his sisters identified as Malika, 18 and Mehreen, 16, went to city for medical check up but did not return home while their cell phones also went off.

Taxila police have registered an abduction case and launched a a search for the girls.

Suspect nabbed

As back to back encounters continued in Attock district, a suspect was arrested in injured condition after a shootout with police on Fatehjang-Rawalpindi road in the limits of Fatehjang police station, police spokesman said on Saturday.

The police spokesperson claimed that the suspect was injured during an exchange of fire with the police.

However, no policemen were injured in the cross firing. Soon after the incident, senior police officers also rushed to the spot. The injured suspect was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
