QUETTA: The Balochistan government has reviewed the security plan in light of the recent armed attack in Mastung and formulated a new strategy to ensure security across the province.
This was disclosed by Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind while briefing the media on Thursday.
He said the armed men who attacked government buildings, banks, and torched several vehicles also looted Rs40 million from a bank. However, security forces responded immediately after the attack and killed four terrorists.
Mr Rind said that the government has revisited its security plan to reinforce the state’s writ and ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
The spokesman noted that banks are usually guarded by private security, but steps are now being taken to ensure the protection of both public and private properties.
