TAXILA: A 40-years-old woman drowned in rainwater in Samandarabad area in the limits of Attock police station on Saturday.

The Rescue 1122 sources said that the woman was passing through rainy water when she lost balance and was swept away. Later, her body was retrieved from the local drainage line and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.

Three suspected murderer netted

Police on Saturday arrested three suspects involved in the targeted killing of a local resident over an old enmity in Bheedian village in the limits of Hassanabdal Police station.

According to police spokesman, Maqsood Ahmed reported to the police that his elder brother

Zahoor Ahmed, and his nephew Hammad Ali were returning home after offering Friday prayers when they were ambushed near their residenceby four persons.

The motive behind the attack was stated to be an old enmity.
