When time paused

This is regarding the story “When time paused” by Huda Ilyas (YW, March 15). Through the clever use of a ‘paused moment,’ the writer allowed the reader to reflect on the chaos of daily routine, especially the rush in the mornings and how that rush can cause us to overlook simple acts of kindness, gratitude and empathy.

The frozen moment gave readers a chance to truly see what we ignore every day. The writing was simple, and it effectively conveyed a message about being thankful for what we have.

Mini garden wall décor

This is with reference to the Wonder Craft section “Mini garden wall decor” by The Crafter (YW, March 29). I loved the use of everyday, recyclable materials like an old mobile box and cardboard — it was a creative way to repurpose waste and turn it into something beautiful and functional. The craft wasn’t just decorative; the option to use it as a key holder added a useful twist.

I think projects like this spark creativity and promote environmental consciousness in young readers, both of which are values we need to nurture.

Be an influencer

This is regarding the story “Be an influencer” by Soubia Ilyas (YW, March 29).

The story showed that there are both good and bad people around us, and it’s up to us to choose whether we want to do the right thing or follow the wrong path.

Oh, my grief!

This is regarding the story “Oh, my grief!” by Hareem Ahmed (YW, April 26th).

The story beautifully captured the deep emotional impact of grief as it consumes people from within and prevents them from living as they once did. It also reflected on how the pain of losing a loved one can isolate a person from the world.

At its core, the story carried an inspiring message: to be courageous and gradually return to life after being overwhelmed by grief.

When there’s a will

This is regarding the story “When there’s a will” by Ayesha Fatima (YW, April 26th). It was an interesting story, highlighting the importance of confidence and self-belief. It inspired readers to embrace creativity as an essential quality for successful writing.

When it comes to expressing our thoughts through writing, we should not hesitate. Instead, we must believe in our efforts and trust in our creative abilities.
