Noor Zaman, Nasir Iqbal win openers at Asian Individual Squash Championships

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal registered convincing victories in their respective opening matches at the Asian Individual Squash Championships in Sarawak, Malaysia, according to a press release issued on Monday.

Noor overcame Singapore’s Aaron-Jon Widjaja Liang 3-1 with game scores of 11-7, 6-11, 11-6, 11-3, while Nasir cruised past South Korea’s Jaejin Yoo in straight sets, winning 11-5, 11-2, 11-4.

Both players will be in action again on Wednesday in the third round of the tournament.
