LAHORE: The Worker Welfare Fund has invited applications from industrial and mine workers for the admission of their eligible children to seven campuses of COMSATS University.

As per the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Punjab government will pay the fees of these children as a gesture to support the workers.

Workers registered with the fund can submit applications by July 9 for Islamabad campus, July 17 for Lahore campus, July 4 for Wah Cantt and Abbottabad campuses, July 11 for Vehari and Attock campuses and August 15 for Sahiwal campus.

The application forms must be accompanied by a copy of the worker’s national identity card, registered certificate, student’s national identity card or B-Form, besides worker’s social security or old-age benefits institution’s card.

The workers’ children must apply online on the university’s website and submit relevant documents in the admission office.

Children of differently-able and deceased workers are also eligible for free education at the COMSATS University.
