TAXILA: Three individuals were killed and five others injured in four incidents in various parts of Attock on Friday, police and rescue sources said.
In the first incident, a man had gunned down his brother and critically injured another brother over a dispute of Rs50,000 in the village of Bhadian in the limits of Hassanabdal police station.
Police sources said someone had stolen Mohammad Babar’s money from his house. Babar suspected that his brother Mohammad Rizwan had stolen his money. On Friday, Babar took out his pistol and opened fire on Rizwan to take revenge for the theft. When his other brother, identified as Mohammad Iqbal, came to rescue Rizwan, Babar also shot him and fled.
Later, both were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where Rizwan succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a man was shot dead over old enmity in the same police station limits. Police sources said Zahoor was heading home when two persons hiding in the fields shot him, killing him on the spot.
The suspects managed to escape from the scene. Police said the reason behind the killing was old enmity.
Moreover, a 42-year-old man was killed by two masked men in Gondal village in the limits of Hazro police station.
Police sources said Amir, a native of Mansar village, was killed by two masked men who then fled from the crime scène.
The reason behind the broad daylight murder was yet to be ascertained till the filing of this report.
Besides, four persons, including two minors, were critically injured when the motorcycle they were travelling on skidded off Rawalpindi-Kohat Road in the limits of Jand police station after the shawl of the woman got stuck in the rear wheel of the vehicle.
Jehangir, his wife and two children were severely injured and were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Jand.
