The days are hot and long, but the good thing is that you can create and decorate your spaces just the way you like, in a simple yet elegant style.

Today’s craft can be hung or placed on a table. Believe it, kids, this decoration piece’s aesthetic appeal is so strong, you’ll instantly want to make more of them. So, let’s begin!

  1. Place 12 sticks horizontally and glue them together by attaching two sticks vertically on each side. This creates a flat rectangular board from the sticks; pictures 2 and 3.

  2. To secure the structure and add thickness, glue four more sticks vertically on top of the first ones, see picture 4.

  3. Take a small glass jar (a plastic one works too) and tie jute rope around its neck to add an aesthetic touch; see picture 5.

  4. I had a leftover piece of fake grass, so I placed it inside the jar. You can also use scraps of green paper to create a grassy base. Then, add some limestone if you have them; any small stones will work just as well; see pictures 6 and 7.

  5. Insert discarded flowers or leaves inside the jar and secure them to the base with hot glue. See pictures 8 and 9.

  6. To decorate the stick board, I glued leaf strings along three sides. You can use handcrafted green leaves or even simple jute rope; picture 10.

  7. Just above the last stick on the board, glue two sticks horizontally like a rack, trimming their rounded edges first, then paste the jar on this rack, picture 11.

  8. To secure further, use four sticks at the back of the board, see picture 12.

  9. To make the table top decoration piece,

you will need a hardboard strip about 7–8 inches long and 2 inches wide. Make into a triangle shape

and glue one side to the back of the stick board; pictures 13 and 14.

  1. If you want to hang it, instead of stand, simply glue a rope loop to the back, near the top of the board.
