LAHORE: The Rahim Yar Khan police claimed on Wednesday to have conducted a successful targeted operation in the Katcha area and recovered two abductees.

Punjab Police spokesperson said that under the leadership of RY Khan DPO Irfan Ali Samo, Ahmedpur Lamma police carried out the operation against Katcha criminals and safely recovered two abducted citizens identified as Zamir and Ramzan.

The spokesperson said that during the action by RY Khan police, an intense crossfire took place from both sides. He said the kidnappers fled, leaving the two abductees behind.

Efforts were ongoing to arrest the kidnappers, he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that unknown armed suspects abducted Zamir and Ramzan a few days ago and shifted them to the Katcha area.

Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar appreciated DPO Samo and the police team for safely recovering the citizens from Katcha criminals.
