The death toll in Israel’s war on Gaza has risen to 53,939 people, with 122,797 injured, after the latest airstrikes on the besieged enclave, Al Jazeera reports.

At least 38 Palestinians have been killed and 204 injured in Israeli attacks across Gaza in the past 24 hours, it said, quoting the enclave’s health ministry.

The statement said the numbers do not include victims received by hospitals in northern Gaza due to the difficulty of accessing them.

At least 3,785 people were killed and 10,756 others injured in the enclave since March 18 when Israel broke the ceasefire, the ministry said.
