Well, that’s Gracie & Pedro: Pets to the Rescue for you, it tells the story of an adopted cat ‘Pedro’, and a spirited female dog ‘Gracie’, who are constantly at each other’s throats — true to the phrase “fighting like cats and dogs” — until circumstances force them to unite against the odds. With wildly contrasting personalities, both are accidentally left behind during their family’s relocation.

What follows is an unexpected adventure across various colourful settings — from the glittering chaos of Las Vegas to the vast, unforgiving desert. Along the way, they encounter a host of eccentric characters, and what begins as a rivalry slowly transforms into a genuine bond, forged through shared challenges and growing friendship.

The film boasts a stellar voice cast, including Susan Sarandon, Bill Nighy, Alicia Silverstone, Brooke Shields, and Al Franken. Their performances bring warmth, humour, and depth to every scene, thanks to their rich and dynamic portrayals — it’s easy to forget they’re animated!

The supporting characters — from a bunny rabbit and the quirky rat duo Rasputin and Wade, to wisecracking snakes, an evil condor, and a sly ferret named Sherlock — each leave a lasting impression. Sherlock, who hilariously tags along with a detective named Doyle, is a standout, cleverly nodding to the fact that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.

The family, also on the lookout for Gracie and Pedro, aren’t just background figures — they’re the heart of the story. The children, Sophie and Gavin, use their creativity and tech-savviness to create a viral video in a heartfelt plea to bring their beloved pets home.
