LAHORE: Rank outsider chestnut Brooklyn unleashed a fast pace right from the start to lead all the way and win the Labour Day Cup here at the Racecourse on Sunday night.

Bay filly Luna Afzal and colt Dominous failed to match the winner’s steady speed to finish in the same order, respectively, in the 1,000-metre race.

Earlier, chestnut filly Lucky Macs sprinted to surprise victory in the May Cup run over 900 metres.

Chestnut colt Little Master had no difficulty in winning the Peace Cup, the day’s opening race, gone over 900 metres while his ten rivals slithered far behind.
