Elio befriends an alien in Pixar film

Pixar’s upcoming animated film Elio follows an 11-year-old boy on an alien adventure as he searches for identity. Voiced by Yonas Kibreab, Elio feels out of place on Earth, questioning if the problem lies with him. His new alien friend, Glordon (voiced by Remy Edgerly), assures him, “You seem fine to me.”

The voice cast includes Zoe Saldana, Brad Garrett, Jameela Jamil, and Shirley Henderson. Elio, a space enthusiast, is mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader and must navigate an intergalactic crisis. The film releases in theatres on June 20.

Jennifer Lopez to host American Music Awards

Jennifer Lopez will host the 51st annual American Music Awards on May 26, Memorial Day.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the AMAs,” said Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske. “Her talent and stage presence make her the ideal host.”

Lopez previously hosted the event in 2015 and has performed at the show several times. She will also deliver a performance during this year’s ceremony, promising a spectacular mix of music, dance and visuals.

The Angry Birds Movie 3 theatrical release date

The Angry Birds Movie 3 is set for a global theatrical release on January 29, 2027. Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom and Danny McBride will reprise their roles as Red, Chuck, Silver and Bomb.

The film, produced by Rovio, SEGA and Prime Focus Studios, with animation by DNEG, follows the success of its predecessors, which grossed over $500 million worldwide. Directed by John Rice with a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman, the film also features a talented production team, including producers John Cohen and Dan Chuba.

Marc Weinstock, Paramount’s President of Worldwide Marketing, expressed excitement about the collaboration, while Rovio’s CEO, Alex Pelletier-Normand, highlighted the brand’s global reach and fan base. The film aims to appeal to both long-time fans and new audiences.
