Music icons Madonna and Elton John have officially ended their long-standing feud, which lasted for over two decades. The reconciliation was confirmed when Madonna, 66, shared a photo of herself with Elton John on social media, captioning it, “We finally buried the hatchet.”

Madonna’s post followed her recent attendance at Saturday Night Live, where she watched John perform alongside Brandi Carlile. The performance came shortly after the release of their album Who Believes in Angels?

The feud began in 2004 when John criticised Madonna’s live performances, including her lip-syncing, and continued with further remarks in 2012.
