KASUR: Saddar Police arrested a seminary teacher on Friday for allegedly beating a student with hot iron for not memorising his lesson at Bangla Kambovan.
According to police, the seminary teacher, Qari Ghulam Abbas, tortured his 10-year-old student, Shazam, a resident of village Thathi Bukhshi, by putting a hot iron rod on his chest, back and arm.
Police raided the madressah and arrested the suspect. Ten years old survivor was rushed to DHQ Hospital for treatment of his burn injuries. Police lodged a case and started looking into the matter.
