LAHORE, April 30: A meeting of leaders of the six-party religious alliance — Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) — will be held in the city on Monday (today). Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith (MJAH) president Prof Sajid Mir will host the moot at the central office of his party.

The meeting will discuss the present political scenario, coordination with the ARD on the issue of opposition leader in the Senate and other affairs.

Qazi Husain Ahmad, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, Allama Sajid Naqvi, Shah Faridul Haq and Maulana Abdur Rahim Naqshbandi are expected to attend the moot.

Meanwhile, the MJAH has decided to hold its congregation at Sialkot in March 2007.

Earlier, it was to be held in April. But due to the deteriorating law and order situation in the wake of the Karachi’s Nishtar Park tragedy, the event had been postponed.
