CHARSADDA/DI KHAN: Three persons, including a man and his son, were killed and two others got injuries as their rivals opened fire on them over a property dispute in Shabqadar Bazaar of Charsadda on Friday.

Inzamam of Rashkai Banda reported to the Shabqadar police in injured condition that he along with his father, Munawwar Khan, brother Haris Khan, a relative, Muqidullah and his son, Hikmat Ali, was returning home in his car after appearing in court when accused, Zamarud and his son, Shahzada of Garangi Shabqadar, ambushed them on Machni Road.

As a result, he said Munawwar and relative Hikmat were killed on the spot.

He said he himself, his brother, Haris and relative Muqidullah got serious wounds and were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Shabqadar.

Later, he said Muqidullah was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar in precarious condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

He said motive behind the incident was a property dispute.

The deceased and the accused persons are close relatives.

Meanwhile, three sisters were shot dead in Ramak area of Prova tehsil of Dera on Thursday night over an enmity.

A police spokesperson said a case had been registered against four brothers.

The mother of the victims, who was the only witness to the incident, told the police that she was at home when her three daughters, aged 32, 28, and 24, were sleeping on a cot in the veranda of their house. “Around 9pm, armed assailants entered my house and opened firing, killing all three sisters on the spot,” she said.

SHO Prova police station Mohammad Ali Khan said the incident was a result of an old blood feud.
